ScopeFlow.

Hi Chad,

here is a bit more information about our production process SCOPEFLOW® applied to footage.

And some samples to show what the steps look like.

Please keep in mind the last film is not finished yet, but we are allowed to show it.

As you can see in the showreel, city and landscapes work as well.

More than happy to answer questiones next time we chat.

Best,

Faruk

CONCEPTING PHASE

First step is the concepting phase, which can contain a storyboard or not. A list of highlights to be featured is very helpful to build the frame work and get all stakeholders aligned to the ideal outcome early on.

Moodboards and sample films are also helpful and appreciated. They help us build the film, but are also important to call out potential red flags early on.

DAILIES

Based on the above assets we start selecting locations and making recommendations.
As soon as possible we start creating cameras on these locations and render them out in a general lighting set up. These dailies are somewhat grainy and do not have VFX elements implemented yet.

With these dailies we go into editing right away to establish step by step what we are missing to create a great film. During this phase we also encourage the creative and the editor to share ideas for shots. These are then rendered out within 24 to 48 hours usually and can be incorporated in the edit.

Once the team feels comfortable with the base, the film is shared with the client for approval / feedback. This feedback is incorporated and presented again. Including the clients early in the creative process helps to reduce surprises towards the end.

OFFLINE EDIT WITHOUT VFX

RESULT

Once the edit is client approved we move to final pixel production, in which we render the shots in output quality and apply fine tuned grading. This is also the time when we finalize the VFX elements like dust and rain.

The amount of time we need for these step depends on the film and certain restrictions when we work on a secret vehicle. A good guideline is saving 40% of the total production time for the finishing.
